Industry Mourning the Loss of Baer Brakes Co-Founder Todd Gartshore

Todd Gartshore, co-owner and vice president of marketing for Baer Brakes, died Sunday morning.

Gartshore co-founded Baer Brakes in 1994. Previously, he had worked at companies including Quickor Engineering, HKS, CarTech and Vortech. He also served on SEMA’s Board of Directors and the MPMC Select Committee.

“Todd was known for his great sense of humor; he loved to make people smile and laugh.  And if you cried from laughing so hard, he was completely delighted!”  Baer posted on its website this morning.

Gartshore was a fixture at industry events, races and shows, including the Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, and will be missed by his many industry friends.

Hotrod & Restoration sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Todd Gartshore, as well as the entire Baer Brakes family.

Knew Todd for more years than I want to talk about. We would run into each other at events all over the US and Todd would always have a new one for me.
You will be missed …….but NOT FORGOTTEN.

During my many years in the editor’s chair, I had numerous opportunities to work with Todd on magazine projects. He was one of the most accessible and helpfull people I ever dealt with. His passing marks a sad day, and leaves a void in our industry

The closest I came to Todd was a phone conversation  with him about my son Max and their meeting on a flight , when my son was on his way to Afghanistan as a medic. They had a long pleasant conversation, that I’m sure was a comfort to my son,he spoke very highly of Todd and will be missed.
    With deepest sympathy,

I recall interviewing for a job at Baer Brakes with Todd many years ago.  He made me feel valued and comfortable even though we were perfect strangers.  I came away from that interview with a great deal of respect for him and ended up reopening my business and becoming a loyal long term customer of Baer’s.  God bless you Todd and your family as well.
