California Automobile Museum Celebrates American Muscle Cars in New Exhibit

The California Automobile Museum of Sacramento, California, has just opened a new exhibit celebrating the history of the muscle car.

The “American Muscle” exhibit will feature a variety of muscle cars that include Plymouth Superbird, a Chrysler C-300, and AMC AMX, in addition to Mustangs, Camaros and Chevelles.  According to the museum, “the exhibit celebrates Detroit’s 1960s glory days of speed, sound and style. [It] captures the colorful history of the muscle car.”

The Museum hosted a Show ‘N’ Shine in its parking lot on Saturday, April 8 to celebrate the opening of the exhibit. Prizes were awarded to cars in the categories of “Best Paint,” “Loudest Engine” and “Best in Show.”

The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until July 10.
