Cyberdyne Inc. Acquired by Veethree North America
Veethree, a supplier of mechanical and electronic instrumentation, has acquired the assets of Cyberdyne Inc.. Under the deal, Veethree will manufacture Cyberdyne gauges in its Chicago facility.
Goodguys Announces New Date & Location for East Coast Nationals
Next year’s 21st East Coast Nationals will take place Father’s Day weekend, June 15–17, at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts, Goodguys has announced. This will mark the first time Goodguys will hold a national event in the Old Colony State. The event was formerly held in Rhinebeck, New York.

The 19th Annual Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance took place Sunday, with proceeds benefiting the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Foundation and the Palos Verdes Arts Center. Cars at the event were displayed and judged in 22 classes, 14 of which focused on American-made and designed vehicles.

Steve Gibbs to Serve as Grand Marshal of 20th NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion
NHRA has announced that longtime NHRA official Steve Gibbs will serve as the grand marshall of the 20th Annual NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion, which takes place Oct. 21-23 at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway in McFarland, California.
Michael Tarquinio’s 1932 Ford Roadster Named Goodguys’ 2011 Hot Rod of the Year
The low-slung 1932 Ford roadster owned by Michael Tarquinio of Pittsburgh was named the 2011 Gearstar Hot Rod of the Year at Goodguys’ 1st WIX Filters Speedway Nationals, held last weekend in Indianapolis. The car, which features many Zephyr touches, was built by Tarquinio and his friends at G.I.S. Automotive.
