A variety of shows and events are being held this weekend that give you the chance to check out some awesome cars, connect with future customers and help out your community, including the 22nd Annual East Coast Nationals and the 18th Cookson Hills Toy Run 2011. Mecum Auctions hosts its final event for 2011 Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kansas City Convention Center/Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. The auction will feature 750 collector cars, including a 1914 Ford Model T, a one-of-a-kind 1969 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air III, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback and a 1958 Chevy Corvette. The 22nd Annual East Coast Nationals takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Cow Palace in Timonium, Maryland. The event, billed by organizers as “The Largest Indoor Pre-73 All American Car & Custom Motorcycle Show on the East Coast,” will feature 300 antiques, street rods, customs, muscle cars, nostalgia rods, hot rods, nostalgia drag cars and custom motorcycles. The vehicles will compete for cash prizes and awards in Street Driven and Show Class divisions. The event will also feature DJs, auctions, vendors and appearances by Candy Clark and Santa Claus.
