1970 Mustang to Appear in Video Game

Phillip Koenen's 1970 Mustang will appear in the fifth edition of the Gran Turismo video games.

The seventh annual Gran Turismo Awards, held at the 2009 SEMA Show, recognized Philip Koenen and his 1970 Ford Mustang “TransCammer” with “Best Hot Rod” and the coveted “Best in Show” awards.

The latter award earns Koenen’s car a spot in the forthcoming Gran Turismo 5 as a fully drivable player selection, and was selected as Best in Show by the game’s creator, Kazunori Yamauchi.

Phil and Jeremy Gerber named Goodguys Trendsetters for 2009!

The Gerber brothers of the Roadster Shop accepted the award at the HRIA Industry Reception at the 2009 SEMA Show.

Phil and Jeremy Gerber of the Roadster Shop were presented with the Goodguys Trendsetter award at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The award is presented annually at SEMA to rising young talents in the realm of rod and custom car building.

1932 Ford Sedan “Delivery” is a Show-Stopper!

Dave Lane’s concept for this vehicle was simple— to build the ultimate Sedan Delivery. Keeping in mind that the car was meant to be a commercial vehicle, possibly hauling products or providing a storage area for tools or other items, Lane took a utilitarian approach.

Randy Clark knows the secret to running a successful business.

“Treat your customer exactly the way you want to be treated,” said Clark, who has been living by this philosophy since he opened his shop, Hot Rods & Custom Stuff, nearly 20 years ago.

The Escondido, California shop that started in Clark’s garage in 1989 has grown into a four-building facility that now includes a body shop, parts showroom, service bays, fabrication shop, paint facility and upholstery shop. Clark and his wife and business partner, “Peaches,” now employ 38 people and currently have more than 50 cars being worked on in the shop.
