
Gear up for the Fourth of July holiday by checking out some beautiful American-made classic cars and trucks at one of the many car shows and events being held this weekend, including Goodguys 21st Heartland Nationals and the Buick Club of America 500. Goodguys is hosting the 21st Heartland Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa. The event will feature over 3,500 rods, customs and classics through 1972 competing for awards including 2012 Truck of the Year Early and Late Finalist, 2012 Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist, and Burman’s Builder’s Choice Awards. The event will also include a swap meet, a cars-for-sale corral, vendor and manufacturer exhibits, live entertainment, a model and pedal car show, nightly parties, and the Goodguys AutoCross. The 45th Annual Mountaineer Antique Auto Club Car Show, Flea Market & Collector Car Auction takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The Buick Club of America 500 meet runs through Saturday in Concord, North Carolina. Hosted by the Carolina Chapter of the Buick Club of America, the event will feature at least 500 Buicks of every year and model, including authentically restored, modified, unrestored original, professional, specialty and race cars.
