Meguiar’s Introduces Detailer Especially for Dark-Colored Cars

Meguiar’s has released its new Gold Class Premium Quik Detailer, a spray-on product designed to deliver a dark, glossy finish. The detailer is formulated especially for dark-colored cars, including black.
The detailer can be used to remove dust and fingerprints from a car’s paint job. It presents a sleek appearance and is safe to use on all paint finishes, said the company.
The Gold Class Premium Quik Detailer can also be used for fast touch-ups, as well as maintenance between washes and waxes. It can be misted on a car and wiped off using a microfiber towel such as the company’s Supreme Shine towel.

Several indoor car shows will be held this weekend featuring rods, roadsters and customs.
A number of car shows and events are being held this holiday weekend to give you the opportunity to show off your shop’s best work and network with potential customers, including the Cavalcade of Customs and Mesquite Motor Mania 2012. Information on these and six additional cars shows and events are detailed below. More shows will be posted on Hotrod & Restoration’s Twitter throughout the week.
The Cavalcade of Customs takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati. Over $14,000 in cash and merchandise will be presented at the event in 20 categories, including Outstanding Custom Rod, Outstanding Restored, Outstanding Truck and Outstanding Display. The show will also feature special vehicle displays, Meguiar’s Car Care Tips, the Pinstripers “Art of the Kool Charity Auction” benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children and celebrity appearances. Mesquite Motor Mania 2012 takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Mesquite, Nevada. Meguiar’s to Present Car Crazy International Vehicle Showcase at SEMA Show

Top show cars from around the world will be on display at the SEMA Show, held Nov. 1–4 in Las Vegas. Out of thousands of car shows attended by Meguiar’s representatives in over 90 countries, the owners of nine of the top show cars in the world accepted the company’s invitation to display their cars at the SEMA Show, which will be brought in from across the globe by Passport Transport.
These cars will be on display, front and center, outside the convention hall beside the SEMA Car Crazy TV Stage. Throughout the four days of the show, the car owners will be a major attraction along with their cars, providing insight into the car hobby in their respective countries.

Meguiar’s Introduces New Metal Wheel Polish

Meguiar’s has released its new All Metal Wheel Polish, which is designed to transform the appearance of dingy, oxidized wheels. The cleaning formula will remove oxidation without scratching the wheel and can be applied by hand or with Meguiar’s DynaCone polishing tool, according to the company.
The All Metal Wheel Polish can be used on all uncoated, polished or chrome wheels, and is safe to use on cast aluminum, magnesium or billet alloy.
The polish shouldn’t be used on painted, clear-coated or chrome-plated plastic wheels. It comes in an upright 8-ounce container.

New Leather Care System Now Available From Meguiar’s

Meguiar’s now offers a new two-step leather care system that’s designed to restore the rich appearance and suppleness of a car’s leather interior.
The first step in the system is to use the Gold Class Leather and Vinyl Cleaner. The cleaner restores the look and feel of leather or vinyl seats and trim, as well as eliminates dirt and grime, according to the company. It’s formulated to remove both oil- and water-based stains.
The second step in the system is to use the Gold Class Leather Conditioner on the clean vinyl or leather. The conditioner moisturizes and conditions the leather to improve its look and feel, said Meguiar’s. The conditioner includes UV protection to help prevent the aging and fading of leather. It’s formulated with aloe and moisturizing oils.

Meguiar’s Introduces Improved Clay Car Care Kit

A new-and-improved version of Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit is now available. The white, non-abrasive clay safely removes contaminates from any surface of a vehicle, said the company. The kit includes 60 percent more clay than the previous version of the kit. It also includes two 80-gram clay bars that are individually wrapped in a moisture seal storage case.
A 6-ounce bottle of Ultimate Quik Wax is also included. It can be used to wax a car after its been clayed. Meguiar’s Quik Detailer is also included for use as a clay lubricant. The company’s Supreme Shine microfiber towel is also part of the kit. It can be used for easy wipe-off.
The products in the kit can be used to remove things such as paint overspray, fallout and other bonded contaminants.

This weekend, a number of organizations around the country are hosting auctions, car shows and other events that give retailers the opportunity to show off their latest builds, find new projects, connect with new customers and support community organizations. The Grand National Roadster Show takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. Now in its 62nd year, the show will feature over 500 show vehicles competing for awards inside all of the Fairplex buildings, and another 400-800 vehicles parked in between the buildings and walkways. A special “Customs Then and Now” exhibit will feature over 70 of the most-notable and historic cars, with legendary builders including George Barris, Gene Winfield, Sam Foose, Rod Powelland Blackie G scheduled to be on-hand Saturday to sign autographs. The show will also feature live music and celebrity appearances. On Sunday evening, the 2011 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR) and America’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle will be crowned. Barry Meguiar Recovering in California Hospital
